UPDATED EYFS FRAMEWORK: From January 2024, the latest EYFS changes mean that all staff who hold a Level 2 and/ or Level 3 Childcare qualification since 30 June 2016 in a nursery group and school-based setting must hold a valid Paediatric First Aid qualification to be included in the required staff: child ratios for Ofsted.
The Paediatric First Aid course is ideal for anybody working or intending to work in an EYFS or Ofsted setting, such as a Childminder, School or Nursery, and they want to be included in the Staff: Child ratios. The Blended Paediatric First Aid course is delivered in two parts: e-learning (online first aid course) and a traditional 12-Hour Paediatric First Aid course in a classroom setting. Attending a Paediatric First Aid course will equip you with all the necessary skills to be recognised by the EYFS to be a competent first aider in an Early Years Setting under the expectations of Ofsted. This course is an accredited Paediatric First Aid course.
To complete this course, there will be a range of methods used to demonstrate your knowledge after being taught throughout the Paediatric First Aid course. This includes practical real-life scenario examples and questioning. The final examination will be multiple-choice questions. Upon successful completion of this course, each delegate will have the knowledge, confidence, and certification to be a responsible First Aider in their workplace and a Level 3 Paediatric First Aid (12-hour) certificate to prove it.
